"We don't claim to be as good as the sun in the sky," says Barghelame, owner of SunSauna. "But we think we're the next best thing to it."
What makes SunSaunas so effective is that they combine the health benefits of full-spectrum light therapy and infrared heat.
"What these saunas do is really mimic the sun," Barghelame explains.
Barghelame, who has four engineering degrees from the University of Utah, received his patent by combining these two concepts. His inspiration? A typical Seattle winter.
