The worlds only Full-Spectrum Sauna
In the beginning, there was darkness. SunSauna® has pioneered the way, being the only sauna manufacturer able to offer light therapy (photo-therapy) along side infrared heat. The patented combination of Full-Spectrum light and near, mid and far infrared waves is what differentiates SunSauna® from every other sauna manufacturer in the world.

Individually both Full-Spectrum light and full infrared heat are of huge benefit to health and wellness. Light therapy alone offers relief from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) as well as non-seasonal depression, it also helps the body produce/regulate important body chemistry such as serotonin, melatonin, endorphins and Vitamin-D.

When full Infrared heat is added to Full-Spectrum Light therapy the benefits of each are multiplied exponentially. For example, while light therapy is assisting in endorphin production, the infrared heat is opening the blood vessels and increasing circulation to further spread those endorphins through the body.
What is light therapy?
Light therapy (also known as phototherapy) consists of exposure to daylight or lighting similar in composition to daylight, using Full-Spectrum light systems. In light therapy the light is administered for a prescribed amount of time and, in some cases, at a specific time of day.

A common use of light therapy is associated with treatment of skin disorders, chiefly psoriasis, acne vulgaris, eczema and neonatal jaundice. Light therapy is used to treat circadian rhythm disorders such as delayed sleep phase disorder and is also very effective in treating SAD – Seasonal Affective Disorder, as well as non-seasonal psychiatric disorders and depression.
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between SunSaunas Full-Spectrum Light and “full spectrum infrared” offered by competitors.
SunSauna® provides its patented combination of Full-Spectrum light and infrared using a proprietary light box that illuminates over 10,000 LUX of natural visible light. Ask our competitors the LUX rating of their “full spectrum” devices to see what we mean.

Do other forms of light mimic the Sun like Neodymium light does?
No, other forms of like such as standard incandescent bulbs, flourescent and even newer LED light cannot produce a brilliant white as neodymium bulbs can. This is why neodymium coated bulbs are used in greenhouses to provide the closes thing to natural sunlight available today.

Can I get a sunburn from Full-Spectrum Neodymium Bulbs?
Absolutely NOT! You will never acquire a “sunburn” from any neodymium type bulb. The bulbs produce light as it is perceived from natural sunlight, and gives a greater color rendition as well as generating a brighter, whiter light. Our bulbs do NOT produce harmful UV rays, that bulbs in tanning beds are capable of producing.
